Ekko

Ekko was confiscated together with Savannah monitor Jappe. They were kept in two separate terrariums that were far too small for these animals. They also didn't receive proper care. Fortunately both animals could be taken out of this situation. Unfortunately they were too domesticated and could not go back to nature.

Where does he feel most at home?

The common leopard gecko likes to live in the mountains of India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. The gecko is able to survive the hot and dry summers and the cold winters by hiding in caves and the ground at unsuitable temperatures.

What's his favourite food?

He lives on small animals such as insects, but also other animals such as scorpions and other lizards are eaten.

Fun fact

Unlike most other geckos, the common leopard gecko is a typical bottom dweller that climbs little.
