Mavis, together with another budgerigar, came from a private individual who, due to a move, could no longer offer them the freedom they used to have. The person then decided to give them to De Zonnegloed so that they can continue to receive the proper care and freedom of movement that they deserve.
Where does he feel most at home?
The budgerigar enjoys Australia's climate and nature.
What's his favourite food?
It prefers to eat grass seeds.
Fun fact
The budgerigar has a nose cap. This is a piece of bare skin above their beak. By the colour of the nose cap you can see if it is a female or a male. A male has a blue nose and a female has a pink to light beige nose cap.
